Marcus Brauchli has resigned as managing editor of the Wall Street Journal, according to people familiar with the matter.
Mr Brauchli’s departure comes just four months after the US financial newspaper and its parent company, Dow Jones, were taken over by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp in a $5bn deal.
The reason for his resignation was not immediately clear. Mr Brauchli could not be reached for comment on Monday night. A Journal spokesperson declined to comment.
