Police of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday detained several employees and confiscated equipment on Monday from the Jerusalem studio of the English-language radio station in Jerusalem, the RAM FM, that was set up to encourage dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.
The station continued to broadcast on one of its two frequencies from its main studio in the Palestinian West Bank city of Ramallah, Reuters reported. Israeli Haaretz daily said the police shut down the transmitter and closed the studio, taking staff for questioning and hauling away equipment in Monday's raid, but the station remained on the air via its West Bank frequency 93.6.
