Doesn’t it seem that the only time we ever hear about Congressman Darrell Issa is when he steps in it, big time?

Be it the allegations of car theft, or announcing that he was taking charge of the flat-lining electoral reform campaign the same day as his district was struggling with calamitous wildfires, or his meeting with the Syrian President the day after President Bush and Congressional Republicans lambasted Democrats for meeting with the same Syrian officials -- Issa sure knows how to work his name into the headlines.

This time, Issa has taken his act to a whole new level.

The New York Daily News reports: San Diego GOP Rep. Darrell Issa was under siege for suggesting the federal government had already done enough to help New York cope with "a fire" that "simply was an aircraft" hitting the World Trade Center.
